Greetings My Fellow Believers, blessings upon you and your family,
“Hope can be a powerful force. Maybe there’s no actual magic in it, but when you know what you hope for most and hold it like a light within you, things can happen... – Laini Taylor.

The Hope Within Us
Elder Mark Maitland, First Elder of the Harbour View Seventh-day Adventist Church, clings to this hope in his sincere, passionate leadership and his profession as an undertaker. He understands the pain of losing a loved one and that hope, healing, and comfort are processes that are necessary for restoring positive well-being.

Through a God-ordained plan, Elder Maitland was placed at the right place at the right time to provide such a ministry; he manages the Garden of Paradise Funeral Home at 1 North Avenue, Kingston, telephone: 876-906-4734 / 876-327-9729; https://www.facebook.com/GardenofParadisefh/

‘Granting Relief in the time of Grief,’ this team of nine engages each client with compassion and genuine care.

Practically, their services extend beyond preparing their loved ones for the funeral service. They offer prayer, personal encouragement, and a book about grief. Also, depending on the client's need, they may be referred to a counsellor or a pastor who helps with the grieving process, a ministry that goes far toward healing.

Garden of Paradise Funeral Home speaks tacitly to each Seventh-day Adventist that there is hope beyond the grave. We are happy to have such a service offered by an elder of our Church. Let us supportively utilize it.

Congratulations!

We salute Elder Mark Maitland for his dedication and commitment to providing a service and a unique ministry to many Jamaicans and all Seventh-day Adventists through the Garden of Paradise Funeral Home, where each can experience hope, healing, and comfort.

Thank you, Elder Maitland!

Youth Congressoree and Camp Meeting

During November, we are happy to see our youth taking their rightful place in our churches, preparing to become future leaders for service to God and country. Their celebration in Christ continues into December with Youth Congressoree, December 7-10, 2022, at the Kencot Seventh-day Adventist Church. All youth and youth-at-heart are in for a spiritual refreshing and a social treat.

This event flows into our Camp Meeting on December 14-17, 2022, and Leaders' Summit on December 18, 2022, with guest speaker Pastor Kirk Thomas from the British Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. All members and leaders are invited to share in these grand convocations.

Happy Sabbath! Walk humbly with your God. Worship Him with fervour.
