Greetings, My Fellow Believers, blessings upon you and family,

"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, "What are you doing for others?" Martin Luther King Jr.

Gemrena Haughton-McCook

As His representatives among men, God does not choose angels who have never fallen, but human beings, men of like passions with those they seek to save.”—The Acts of the Apostles, 134.

We salute Sis Gemrena Haughton-McCook, an essential faithful worker of twenty years at the East Jamaica Conference headquarters in the Resource Centre. Sis McCook takes special care in ensuring that the sacred trust of making known “the unsearchable riches of Christ” is found at the EJC Resource Centre, where she stocks Ellen G. White books, Adventist Magazines such as Priorities, tracts, Bible Courses, and some books authored by Adventists.

This dedicated Heroes Circle Adventist Church member, Sis Gem, takes her duty seriously, ensuring that the local congregation can obtain tithe envelopes, Church clerk materials, and treasury books which provides the smooth functioning of responsibilities for the respective church leaders. With a calm and composed disposition, you will find Sis McCook at her station as she also serves the youth and Community services department with regalia, uniform materials, and other supplies for the Master Guides and Pathfinders.

Congratulations

Today, because of Sis McCook’s commitment to her work, the East Jamaica Conference Resource Centre can boast of supplying well-needed resources for Seventh-day Adventists across Jamaica, a highly appreciated service. We salute you, Gemrena McCook, for displaying such commitment and efficiency to duty.

IAD Centennial Celebration and Baptism

The Inter-American Division (IAD) will hold a grand celebration to commemorate 100 years of pioneering work in evangelism, education, and mission outreach during two special online programs live from the Dominican Republic on Sabbath, Oct. 29, 2022. East Jamaica Conference will host this live-streamed, Centennial Baptism celebration at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Meadowvale, to start at 10:30 a.m. Our elders across the field are invited to conduct the baptisms of those individuals they have worked with. After which, EJC will host a special

Recognition and Commitment Service at 2:00 p.m. for the departmental awardees for some churches and at 4:30 p.m. for recently awarded members at the National level.

May God bless our newly baptized Centennial candidates, all our awardees, and workers as we put Mission first!

Happy Sabbath!
