Greetings My Fellow Believers, blessings upon you and family,

“Education is the great equalizer of the conditions of men” -Mann.  “Students who receive a poor education or drop out of school before graduating can end up on the wrong side of a lifelong gap in employment, earnings, and even life expectancy” - Arne Ducan.

Miramar Kinder Preparatory School

The Miramar Kinder Preparatory school produces excellent Christian education and has done so for thirteen years. Situated on Miramar Drive, Morant Bay, St. Thomas, this learning institution began with 19 students to a current enrolment of 140, and received accreditation from the Inter-American Division Accrediting Association.

The Principal, Mr.Freddie E. Bingham, who served faithfully between 2009 and 2016, along with the support of the East Jamaica Conference Administration, Morant Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church Pastors and members, forged through the fledgling stages of infrastructural and educational development to get the school on its feet. Mrs. Joette Smith-Jumpp was appointed in 2016. She continued on the path of significant growth in enrollment and development of the school until her departure in 2020 to serve as Principal of New Hope Preparatory School. The transition was made in August 2020 with Mrs. Claudia Frys-Butler, Principal, who continues to build on the school’s legacy with her dedicated team of 20 workers.

Miramar is transmitting quality education with pride and passion, ensuring each student’s preparation in service to God and man. The school not only fulfils its academic expectations but also, through its social and extra curriculum activities of a school choir, music, environmental, and drama clubs, balance is provided in the students' lives. Over the years, grade six students have graduated and entered Seventh-day Adventist and traditional high schools.

Congratulations!

We laud Maramar Kinder Preparatory School Board of Governors, its Principal, staff, and other workers for building on the foundation laid by those who have left a rich legacy of Christian education in the parish of St. Thomas. You have a precious treasure that will transform lives for eternity.  I call upon the members of St. Thomas to support this school with your children and finances.

Thank you, Miramar School family!
