On January 14 and February 4, 2023, the Meadowvale Seventh-day Adventist Church opened its doors to host the region one chapter of the Bursars Association of Jamaica and the 8th-anniversary celebration of Caroline P. Haye Attorneys-at-Law respectively.

Fifteen members of the region one chapter of the Bursars Association of Jamaica (BAJ) joined the Meadowvale SDA Church in worship as they committed to starting the year anew in God’s presence with him at their helm. The BAJ provides professional leadership for the financial managers and heads of support services of various schools, thus enhancing effectiveness and improved efficiency to ensure a higher standard of learning in schools.

The church learned of the many activities of this group over the past year which includes their work with the Sunbeam Boy's Home, donations to the golden age home and their upcoming plans to donate to the Maxfield Park Children's Home.

In expressing gratitude for their presence, the Meadowvale SDA Church extended gifts of bibles and books to all members of the association. Sis Patricia Young, a member of the association and the Meadowvale SDA Church, remarked that the intent was to extend books to the members, however, she listened to the voice of the Lord who said to take two bibles as well. While the books were being distributed a member of the association asked for a bible; clearly God was at work.

Managing Director of the law firm Caroline P. Haye Attorneys-at-Law, Ms. Kimberley McDowell, gave greetings on behalf of the eleven-member firm, who in their 8th year of operations, paused to give God thanks for his leading and blessings. They reflected on their growth over the years which saw the opening of an office in Kingston and Montego Bay and were excited about the future as they renewed their commitment to stand firm in their faith and trust in God.

On both occasions, representatives of both groups were invited to participate in the day’s service and were warmly welcomed by the congregation.

The Meadowvale SDA Church continues to open its doors to provide a space for groups whether in the public or private sphere to dedicate their plans and renew their commitment to God. We recognise that only through the leading of the Holy Spirit will we achieve success.
