For people living with incontinence and disabilities, navigating a world where accessible restrooms are often an afterthought is a constant battle. This lack of access and compassion creates a feeling of exclusion. This is why the Sandy Park SDA Church decided, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, to build a special needs restroom to accommodate such persons.

Arranging a bathroom for persons with disabilities requires maintaining certain standards to ensure the safety and convenience of use. The restroom should be sufficiently larger than the standard one, without thresholds, stairs, or hills that could hinder wheelchair users, and equipped with several amenities. This is why the Lord blessed the church with men who were willing and able; some were members of the church, and some were not. Both put their hands and hearts together and worked to accomplish the work that God had put before them, and by the grace of God, our Accessible Restroom / “Special Needs Restroom” was dedicated on July 05, 2025.

We give special thanks to God, to our pastor, Rupaul Livingston, and to the church building committee, which provided oversight and leadership. We hope and pray that with this effort, men and women will be closely drawn unto God as they see His disciples show love, care, and compassion one to another. May the Lord richly bless us all as we continue to work for the Master.
