Grade 4 Teacher
Kingsway Kindergarten and Preparatory
The incumbent reports directly to the vice principal and is responsible to teach the curriculum to grade four students while integrating faith in learning.
Knowledge of New Grade 4 Curriculum
Critical thinking skills
Establish clear objectives for lessons
Instruct students individually and in groups using teaching methods appropriate for the student and the subjects
Collaborate with peers on shared goals
Faithful and active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing.
A Bachelor’s Degree (preferable) or Diploma in Primary Education
Must have work experience teaching Grade 4.
To follow the Ministry of Education Curriculum Guide and cover all the required content.
Instruct students individually/groups with teaching methods appropriate for the students and subject
Evaluate students’ work and report students’ progress to all the stakeholders
Establish and enforce rules of behaviour in the classroom.
Collaborate with other teachers and plan instructions
Serve on committees and support co-curricular activities
Collect and analyze data to drive the curriculum
Ability to communicate effectively – orally and in writing
Promote Adventist Christian Education (ACE)
Assist in the school’s Evangelism Plan
Perform other duties as directed by the Grade Coordinator, Vice Principal and Principal
Terms of Employment
Contractual employment position (one year)
The successful applicant will receive salaries, wages and fringe benefits in line with the schools salary scale.
