Half Way Tree Seventh-day Adventist Church was the house of prayer on Sabbath May 23, 2015 as the Jamaica Union Conference of SDA along with the East Jamaica Conference of SDA joined hands to stage a Prayer Conference.

New President Elected to Serve EJC Elders' Association
Elder Terrence Clarke of the Penwood Seventh-day Adventist Church is the new president of the East Jamaica Conference Elders' Association ( Kingston Chapter) replacing Elder Vaughn Thomas who served with distinction in that position over the past four years. New officers to serve the Association for the period February 2015 - February 2017 were elected according to the constitution governing the elders organization on February 22, 2015. The election process was supervised by pastors Linton Williams, Ministerial Secretary and Pastor Meric Walker, Executive Secretary of the Conference.
